Jones is currently the Creative Director at Kenneth Hagin Ministries a.k.a. RHEMA Bible Church in Broken Arrow, OK. She is also the owner of Paige1Media, a graphic design firm that works with domestic and international clients on projects ranging from basic logo development to magazine and book design. Her firm is also contracted in conjunction with Collipsis Web Solutions. In her spare time she serves as an adjunct instructor at Oral Roberts University, teaching classes for the Communications Department. Jones has been designing professionally for over 8 years and immerses herself in the current trends and technologies emerging in the industry.
Nicholas Clayton

Early interest in application programming developed into a love for all things web driven. Nicholas Clayton has created and managed internet marketing sites, delving into CGI and web application programming, developing fully integrated database driven web applications for over 10 years and has spent 6 years as a web master. Meanwhile, he has an incredible eye for creativity and has had the opportunity to work with branding specialists on a variety of projects.

After using the technical side of his brain as a Systems Administrator for 10 years, working with companies such as the University of Houston and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Jason Holland decided to develop his creativity. 3 years later, Holland's photography speaks for itself. With a solid degree in Communications, Amanda King found herself exploring her creative nature through an internship with a ministry in Tulsa, OK. Quickly her innate creativity was revealed as she was assigned more and more tasks and today, the rest is history. King's responsibilities include creative branding for a variety of groups and ministries. She frequently finds herself working on print projects ranging from letterhead to magazine layout.

Networked with ministries and companies around the world, Mark Burleson has had the opportunity to analyze and critique branding solutions, network systems and marketing operations throughout the industry. Owner of Redeemer Consulting, Burleson is also a Network and Systems Administrator at LifeChurch.tv. in Edmond, OK.

It's almost that time of year! The 2nd Annual In Search of Design Student Identity competition will begin accepting entries on October 1st. Let's go over the rules--if you're currently a student or recently graduated and have STUDENT work you'd like to enter then you're eligible.
Unlike many other competitions, that charge exorbitant competition entry fees, The ISOD Iddy Awards is a strictly STUDENT Competition designed to expose the best of the best Student Identity Designs. The best part is, because we understand the expenses of higher education, this competition only costs $10 per entry.
Now, the best part! Because the contest is for Identity packages, each entry must consist of a student-designed, Logo, Business Card, Letterhead and Envelope. These pieces can be actual pieces created for clients, self promotional pieces or concept pieces created for fake or imaginary clients. Entries are based on the following criteria: Awards are granted for the following categories:
Grand Prizes: 1st Place -- Overall Package 2nd Place -- Overal Package 3rd Place -- Overall Package The Overall packages are judged based on the following criteria: Clarity of Message, Piece Integration, Consistency of Design, Overall Use of Color, Overall Creativity There are also Certificates awarded for the following criteria:
Logos: judged on the following criteria: Creativity, Use of Color, Uniqueness, "WOW" Factor, Scalability and Color Conversion to BW.
Letterhead: judged on the following criteria: Creativity, Use of Color, Logo Integration, Main Letter “Area”, Contact Info. Placement, Use of Whitespace, Overall Appearance
Envelopes: judged on the following criteria: Creativity, Use of Color, Logo Integration, Address Placement, Overall Appearance

The judges arein the final stages of judging and the winners will be announced officially on February 1st, 2010. Entry Guidelines:
Each entry must contain a student-produced Identity Package including a letterhead, envelope and business card sample. "Mock Ups" are acceptable but must be to scale. Entry Fee:
The student design competition entry fee is only $10. Online applicants may pay by credit card or Paypal. For those mailing in the fee, please make checks payable to Paige1Media.
Entry Deadline:
All entries must be postmarked by January 1, 2010. Any entries received after that deadline will not be eligible for the competition.
The Judges:

In Search of Design Student Identity Package Competition
Q. Can I enter more than one package? A. Absolutely! You will just need to fill out an entry form and pay the fee for each entry. Q. What if I have other pieces of an identity package, packing slips, or a case study. Can I enter them too? A. As long as you enter at least 3 pieces of an identity package, it will be accepted. However, additional pieces will not affect the judges decision. Q. What will the judges be looking for as they judge the entries? A. Entries will be judged on comprehensive logo development, and the overall design, creativity and visual presentation of the letterhead and envelopes. Q. Where can I get more information on the pieces of an identity package? A. Check out the articles on the blog, especially, Logos, Business Cards, Stationary and Envelopes. Q. Can I apply for an internship even if I do not win the competition? A. Paige1Media is always accepting resumes and inquiries. To submit a resume and portfolio simply contact us. Q.
